1. Our Approach to Privacy
Towniz is built with one guiding principle: protect kids first.
- No ads
- No tracking
- No selling data
- No personal information collected from children
- Parents always stay in control
We collect only the minimum information needed to run the game safely and improve performance.
2. Ads & Tracking
Towniz does not show ads and does not use advertising networks or behavioural tracking.
We may receive anonymous information from Apple or Google (for example, how many users found Towniz through an app store search). This information does not track your child across other apps.
Towniz never allows third parties to collect information for advertising purposes.
3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
Towniz offers optional in-app purchases and subscription plans that unlock additional content and features.
All payments are processed securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not have access to your credit card or billing information.
We receive anonymous purchase confirmations only to unlock content and assist with support. Parents should enable device parental controls to manage or restrict purchases.
4. Automatically Collected Data
To keep Towniz running smoothly, we collect limited non-personal technical information, such as:
- device type and model
- operating system version
- app version
- crash logs and performance data
- anonymous device identifiers (IDFV, Android ID)
- general location (country/city) from device settings — not GPS
This information does not identify your child personally. It is used only to improve stability, fix bugs, and understand how players use the game.
5. Towniz Account (Login System)
Players may create a Towniz Account to save their progress, back up data, and access special features such as the Creator Club.
When creating an account, we collect:
- a parent-controlled email address
- a username chosen inside the game
- saved game progress and avatar information
Children cannot enter personal details inside the game or communicate with others.
Account Inactivity
If an account is inactive for 2 years, we automatically delete or anonymize the data associated with it.
Parents may request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@towniz.com.
6. User-Generated Content (UGC)
Towniz includes a safe and simple UGC feature where kids can share houses they design inside the game.
To ensure safety:
- Shared houses contain only in-game items.
- No free-text, chat, photos, or personal information is allowed.
- All content is moderated automatically and/or manually.
- Personal data is never included in shared content.
- We may remove creations that violate safety rules.
- Parents may request deletion of shared content at any time.
If we add new UGC features in the future, the same protections will apply.
7. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted service providers who help us operate Towniz. These partners may process anonymous data but cannot use it for advertising.
Our providers may include:
- Google Firebase – analytics & crash reporting
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) – cloud hosting & storage
- Unity Services – game engine services & performance analytics
All providers follow strict privacy requirements and are not permitted to collect personal information from children.
8. Legal Compliance (COPPA / GDPR / Israeli Law)
Towniz is designed to follow major children’s privacy and data-protection laws, including:
- COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act – USA)
- GDPR & GDPR-Kids (European Union)
- Israeli Privacy Protection Law
We follow these principles by:
- minimizing data collection
- not collecting personal information from children
- avoiding ads and behavioural tracking
- giving parents full control over their child’s data
- securing all information with industry-standard protections
9. Data Retention
We keep data only for as long as necessary:
- Towniz Accounts – deleted after 2 years of inactivity.
- Crash logs & analytics – retained for up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymized.
- Purchase confirmations – kept only as needed for support and legal requirements.
Parents may request deletion at any time.
10. Your Rights as a Parent
Parents and guardians may:
- Request a copy of any data relating to their child.
- Request deletion or correction of data.
- Request that we stop collecting or using data.
- Delete the entire Towniz Account.
To exercise these rights, please email: privacy@towniz.com.
We respond within 30 days and may request verification of parental identity.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect all information. While no method is 100% secure, we take every reasonable step to keep Towniz safe.
12. International Transfers
Some anonymous data may be processed on servers outside your country. When this happens, we use legally approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure protection.
13. Updates to This Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. If changes are significant, we will inform users via the game or email (if provided).
The latest version will always be published on our website.
